This week has been a big week for Ace. He is officially mobile. Monday, he pulled up to standing for the first time...and we missed it, of course! Mace and I were on opposite ends of the room and Ace was in the middle and all of a sudden, he was standing up at his friend June's activity table. We were so impressed and so excited, so we got out the camera, and, of course, he hasn't done it for us since...guess that's what we get for blinking. Then yesterday, Tuesday, I had noticed he was getting a little better at scooting around on his belly, but he took off after lunch in an all out army crawl. It's pretty funny and he's really fast! He followed me into the kitchen and was so proud of himself when he rounded the corner.
Oh, and he is also officially teething...we try to take a peek in his mouth every chance we get, but he is very protective of his current projects. He has at least two teeth just below the surface on the bottom, and sometimes we think we see more on either side of those, but it's hard to tell whether it is teeth or just swelling from the first two...who knows. He's been a real trouper, though, and unless you're looking for it, you would never know this sweet boy is teething. He hasn't been very interested in his normal favorites at meal time because of his sore gums, so we have been improvising...

It's hard to see, but there's a carrot in his right hand...
He love, love, loves pickles...just like his mama...
Not as crazy about the celery, but it was cold and felt good to chew on...
He just makes me melt...all the time...
