Ace's Real Birthday

Mace wanted to do a little something special on Ace's birthday, since we had his party early, so after Ace's nap (he sleeps for about 2.5 hours in the middle of the day - it's wonderful!), we went to a Bruster's/Nathan's that's close to our house for a late lunch. Ace loves hot dogs (one of few "meats" he will eat), and had never had ice cream before, so we thought it'd be fun. And it was! Good idea, Mace!His first bite (he had put his mouth on it already)!

It has been a wonderful year, to say the least, and we have enjoyed the year immensely!! And, contrary to what everyone else says, it really feels like it's been a year, and not just yesterday, since Ace was born. We are so excited that it has been a year! That Ace is getting bigger and is changing, means that life is happening! Watching him grow and change every day (or, by the minute, for me ;)) has brought so much fullness to our lives! We are constantly reminded of how blessed we have been with Ace's good health...our baby is healthy and thriving!! We couldn't be happier with that and the progress he has made, and is making! Mace and I talk often about how it feels like Ace has always been a part of our lives. He is such a joy, and is truly the light of our lives. He is an amazing little boy, and we are so excited about our future together!
