Can you see his carseat way over there??We ended up leaving a day early after an embarrassingly confusing day (on Mace and my part) of rushed packing. Not sure why, but BOTH Mace and I somehow got "Friday, July 31st," from this email from my MIL: "Right now, we will be renting the van that morning (of the 30th - Thursday) and loading it and heading that way. " We realized our mistake a couple of hours before they headed to Atlanta from Kentucky...oh my. Still not sure how we made that mistake, because, as you can see, she was pretty darn clear! Haha!
Deanna and Abby gave us a wonderful going away party, and we got to say goodbye to the people we love most in Atlanta...minus only a few who couldn't make it.
Adjusting has been much harder than we expected...especially on Ace. But we are feeling more at home every day, all the while missing our friends and family more each day. We've visited a couple of churches and feel like we're getting closer to a church "home." Adjusting will certainly get easier once we start making some friends.
We spent a couple of nights with Abby and Derrik and got to see my Mom, Dad, Gabe, and Courtney again before we left. And we could NOT have gotten all of our stuff in the Uhaul without all of them!!
