Sometimes it feels like Ace has a little more perspective than we do...

Has God been sharing deets with you, Ace? Not funny, Lord, not fun- okay, it's pretty funny to think about...

This is one of those times where, no matter what Ace
does know, it's clear he doesn't know what the dickens we're up to...
It's becoming increasingly, painfully clear that neither Mace nor I are in control of or even
aware of what we're doing here...newsflash, I know! We had a picture in our minds of what we would be doing once we got to Kentucky and so far, things have been very,
very different. We are trying to take a step back and talk about, pray about, and seek counsel about what lies before us. What's next for us? Med school? Book-writing? Entrepreneurship? Sales? Tube surgery? Craft-selling? Ministry? An only child? More kids? Who. Knows...God knows. The driving force beneath, before, behind, and above us,
surrounding us, and giving us an alarming sense of peace is God. What a mighty, merciful, beautiful, glorious, powerful God we serve. And
trust. That's an active verb, though. We are trusting. Learning to trust, starting to trust, continuing to trust. So whatever's next for our family, we know that HE knows. And that is more important than any other details. Whew. What a relief, because we sure as ear infections don't have any details. And ear infections are kind of a given here.

(Ace, with an ear infection, reading with Granddaddy during our GA visit)

And so is unrolled toilet paper.
