I try really hard to be intentional about including Jesus in every aspect of our lives, because it is so easy to take Him for granted...I've been especially purposeful about talking about Jesus with Ace when it comes to empathy and obedience, and motivation for these things.  And motivation for obedience and kindness to others. I'm sure I've said this before, but I don't keep baby books, so here's where I put these little convos.

Brei:  Hey buddy, did you know that when we obey, it shows others that we.Love.JESUS?!
Ace: Oh yeah!
Brei:  Isn't that SO great?!
Ace: Yeah, dat's ahhsome!!

Now, when we talk about obedience(and a lot of days, it seems like it's all we talk about), Ace will say things like, "Oh! And when I obey, I say love Jesus!"  Sometimes it gets really overwhelming for me when I think about all of the things my parents taught me about our Creator and all the things Ace doesn't know yet...a clean slate is a precious and beautiful thing, but often SO scary and intimidating for me.  Grace, Lord.
