Today is Mace's 27th birthday, and last night I helped Ace make Mace a book of 27 cards with sweet and silly things Ace and Axl love about their daddy, or why they love him. Here are my 27.

1. You're what makes life fun and you are a huge reminder that God is good.
2. Before you, I didn't know how to really laugh
3. Your plethora o'knowledge is pretty astounding, impressive, and makes me feel smarter too
4. You showed me, a lifelong musician, how to appreciate all music...and introduced me to the greats.
5. The babies we made together are absolutely amazing.
6. You are hands down the best cook I know. For reals.
7. I don't think there's anything you can't figure out how to do. Or fix.
8. When I wanted nothing even romantically to do with you, you straight up swept me off my feet. And continue to do so, almost daily.
9. I'm pretty sure you've never met anyone who doesn't like you. You're that awesome.
10. Your steady, calm demeanor. You are absolutely my rock.
11. You are fiercely competitive(and, though you almost always win, you're a good loser, too).
12. You can do anything you set your mind to and make it look effortless.
13. When poop hits the fan, you face it, head on. Even if it means getting hit in the face with poop(which you've gotten really good at avoiding).
14. Your patience with life is astounding - something I just realized I take for granted far too often.
15. The depth of your love for me has always been unmatched and, when tested, has proven indestructible.
16. The way you look at me(as if nothing else matters, like I may your world go 'round, like I'm the most amazing thing you'll ever see, like you'd do anything for me, like you adore and cherish and treasure me).
17. Nothing and no one gets in the way of your dedication. You work so hard for the people who depend on you(not just our little fam).
18. I can be transparent and vulnerable with you. And you don't judge(and you've stuck around).
19. Your mad reflexes and driving skills have prevented road disasters for us(and others, for sure) numerous times.
20. Your faith is solid. Life has not been a walk in the park, but your faith only deepens, when a lesser man's might fade.
21. You are confident.
22. Doing life with you is pure fun, it just goes by too fast.
23. Our good times are good times.
24. Your filter makes me jealous(aka you don't take anything personally).
25. You refuse to let life get you down(comes in real handy in the car-selling business!).
26. You show our boys strength, patience, joy, love, confidence, and how to not take life too seriously.
27. You make me slow down and take life in.

This short list is incredibly inadequate when I think about the ways, the why's, and how's that I love you. Adore you, babe. Happiest of birthdays to you, my fave.
